Utilizing a 3D Foot Scanner & Video Gait Analysis, Sole Sports is committed to finding the shoes that work best for our customer’s natural biomechanics.  We have a strong passion for helping customers, and pride ourselves on our customer service, attention to detail, product knowledge & willingness to problem-solve. Our company treats everyone with respect while promoting a positive and fun working atmosphere. You might have seen us around the community participating in training groups, group runs, races and charity events. While off-site participation of our staff is not required, you can clearly see we have a passion for helping our community!

Job Description: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day and long-term success of retail staff with a focus on customer experience. We believe that each one of our staff members is a key contributor to our brand’s success. This position will help create the best customer experience by focusing on what matters most, our team. You will be responsible for effectively onboarding, developing, scheduling, coaching and educating alongside our Training Manager. Our Sales Manager will oversee our Retail Sales Associates to ensure each customer is outfitted with everything they need to get started on their health & wellness journey, or cross their next finish line. This position will be expected to be on the sales floor 5 days a week and will include at least 1-2 weekend days a month.

Compensation: Competitive annual salary with opportunity to increase on an annual timeline based on sales, merit and experience.

  • A passion for running, walking, health and fitness
  • High understanding of sales principles & customer service practices

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in coaching, counseling, and corrective action techniques to enhance employee performance
  • Ability to identify and develop employees with potential to grow by using tools such as on-the-job training, performance metrics, and performance reviews
  • Strong desire to consistently achieve financial objectives and sales goals
  • Ability to build a strong customer base by designing and implementing store events, programs & outreach strategies
  • Leadership and influence in the community through developing relationships with local leaders in business, non-profit, and running organizations
  • An entrepreneurial spirit to identify opportunities that tackle customer problems and create additional revenue within our area of expertise
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory with monthly and annual cycle counts
  • Oversee the creation of employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage for store operations based on day-to-day sales volumes
  • Proactively respond to customer and employee questions and issues in a timely, professional manner
  • Support all Sole Sports initiatives, activities, and functions
  • Other duties as required


  • 2+ Years of retail or leadership experience

  • Retail experience is preferred but not required
