CT Run Co Marketing Manager (Full-Time)

CT Run Co exists to build a stronger running community by providing expertise, energy, and exceptional experience both in-store and throughout the communities we serve.

Position Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for |growing the CT Run Co brand, strengthening community engagement, increasing participation in events and races, and driving retail growth across all business units. As the steward of the CT Run Co brand, this individual leads marketing strategy, content creation, community partnerships, and event promotion while ensuring every customer interaction reflects our values and commitment to the running community. This position will work closely with the Race & Events Coordinator and the ECommerce Manager. 

Outside of major marketing projects, races, and community events, the Marketing Manager will regularly work in our retail stores (approximately two days per week) to stay connected to our customers and ensure marketing initiatives are supported by the in-store experience.  

What Success Looks Like:

  • Grow brand awareness : Increase visibility and recognition of CT Run Co across all markets through consistent, compelling marketing and community engagement.
  • Increase participation : Drive registrations and attendance for races, training programs, group runs, and community events.
  • Drive retail growth : Generate store traffic, customer acquisition, retention, and sales through strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Strengthen community connections : Build meaningful relationships with customers, community organizations, healthcare providers, coaches, sponsors, and local businesses.
  • Deliver measurable results : Use data, analytics, and customer insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and business performance.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that support retail, event, and organizational goals.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all customer-facing channels.
  • Lead the annual marketing calendar and campaign planning process.
  • Identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement, and market share.
  1. Content & Digital Marketing
  • Manage social media, email marketing, and digital communications.
  • Create engaging content through storytelling, photography , video, and customer-focused messaging.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand standards and business objectives.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to enhance the organization’s online presence.
  1. Community Engagements & Events
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for CT Run Co at races, expos, group runs, health fairs, and community events.
  • Develop programs and initiatives that strengthen community participation and customer loyalty.
  • Support the planning, promotion, and execution of company events and races.
  1. Measurement & Accountability
  • Track and report key marketing and business performance metrics.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of outreach programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports on community engagement activities, event participation, and traffic to CT Run Co locations.

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Minimum 2-4 years of marketing experience
  • Passionate about running, fitness, and community
  • Comfortable leading groups and representing the brand publicly
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Creative, resourceful, and action-oriented
  • Familiar with modern AI tools and committed to exploring new ways to leverage
  • Confident building relationships with customers, sponsors and brand partners
  • Comfortable developing strategy and executing day-to-day initiatives
  • Focused on outcomes, accountability, and continuous improvement
