A Letter from the Executive Director

Published on | News & Updates

Our goal each month for the RIA Pulse is to create value through information. Like the RIA itself, the purpose of the Pulse is to inform, inspire, and provide insights that matter to your business and our channel. Essentially, the Pulse reflects what makes our community strong—it’s created for you, and by you.

This month’s issue is full of perspectives and tools that we encourage you to check out. Be sure to read Scott Dvorak’s piece from Charlotte Running Company, where he shares how running camps can open pathways for careers in the industry and deepen the connection between your store and your community.

In our By the Numbers column, we take a close look at first-half sales results and compare them to prior years. The data tells an important story about where we’ve been—and how we can shape plans for the back half of the year.

We’re also spotlighting a benefit that may not be top-of-mind until you need it: the RIA’s free leasing support services. This is one of those “quiet” benefits that can save your business thousands when the time comes. Alongside that, we’re now offering annual member benefit reviews—a personalized way to make sure you’re maximizing the value of your membership.

And while you’re reading, don’t forget to check out our newest RIA members. Our network is growing, and every new retailer, brand, and associate adds more value to the community we all share.

Finally, be sure to save the date for the 2026 RIA Summit, happening May at the Westin Buckhead in Atlanta. After the energy and success of last year’s event, we’re already working to make 2026 even more impactful—you won’t want to miss it.

As always, thank you for being part of this community. The Pulse is here to bring you practical insights and fresh ideas, but its real impact comes from the way our members put them into action.
