Best in Show: Spotlighting the Products Creating the Most Excitement

One of the most engaging moments at the RIA Summit took place during the Best in Show luncheon presentations, where brands had just 60 seconds to make their case for why their product deserves recognition as one of the year's standout innovations. The format was simple, fast-paced, and entertaining. During lunch, participating brands took the stage one after another, delivering rapid-fire presentations on the products they believe are most deserving of recognition. With only a minute to tell their story, attending brands seized the opportunity in some amazing -and oftentimes very funny- ways to convey why their products belong on the shelves of specialty running retailers.

Best in Show was a Summit favorite because it offered retailers a fun look into new products, while providing emerging brands and established brand leaders alike with a unique opportunity to showcase their best work directly to the people responsible for making buying decisions.

Following the presentations, attending retailers cast their votes for the products that generated the greatest excitement and enthusiasm. The result was a retailer-driven recognition program that highlights the products making the strongest impression within the run specialty channel.

This year's voting produced an outstanding group of winners. Taking top honors in the Footwear category was the Altra Torin 9, while the Shokz OpenFit Pro earned Best in Show recognition in the Apparel and Essentials category. In the Emerging Brand category, Mount to Coast captured top honors with the H1, marking the brand's second consecutive Emerging Brand Best in Show award following its 2025 victory.

Retailers also selected the Overall Best in Show winners, resulting in a three-way tie between the Altra Torin 9, Brooks Glycerin 24, and Mount to Coast H1. The outcome reflected the strong enthusiasm retailers had for products across multiple segments of the market and highlighted the depth of innovation currently taking place within the specialty running industry.

More than an awards program, Best in Show serves as a snapshot of what is resonating with retailers today. It celebrates great products, great storytelling, and the brands that are successfully connecting with the specialty run channel. Judging by the energy in the room and the participation from retailers and brands alike, Best in Show was one of the most valuable and entertaining elements of the RIA Summit.
