Gazelle Sports Medical Outreach Lead - Northville, MI (Full Time or Part Time)

Position Vision: The Medical Outreach Lead is responsible for leading the medical outreach initiatives of the store and local market. The Medical Outreach Lead will solicit, develop and maintain ongoing partnerships with medical professionals and practices to drive traffic and sales to the Northville Store. This role is tasked with maintaining operational standards, delivery of medical outreach and sales KPIs, and coordination of all medical professional experiences. 

The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about running, specialty retail, and eager to be an actively engaged member of the local running community.

Position Expectations:

• Solicit, develop and maintain ongoing partnerships with local medical professionals and practices with a focus in the following areas:
  • Sports Medicine
  • Podiatry
  • Physical Therapy
  • Chiropractic
  • Orthopoedic Medicine
• Provide medical referral pads to partner practices
• Consistently communicate with key offices and providers - serving as main point of contact
• Maintain referral tracking documentation
• Host in-person medical practice workshops to share product and Gazelle Sports fit updates - including providing beverages and snacks as appropriate
• Coordinate all Medical Professional open house experiences, including:
  • Vendor communication
  • Medical Professional invites and communication
  • Internal marketing requests
• Maintain medical toolbox for store team, including:
  • Tracking operating procedure communication
  • Injury handouts
  • Communicate about key market partnerships
• Share year-end partnership review with partner practices
• Inform/Make recommendations for Community Engagement budget planning around medical outreach
• Develop goals and key metric assessment in collaboration with the store manager to evaluate success and opportunities
• Participate and contribute to all Gazelle Sports Medical Outreach group meetings
• Coordinate learning opportunities for Gazelle Sports Staff and our Medical partners on a regular basis.
• Communicate product feedback from our medical partners to the buying team.

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 3 years experience in retail
• Experience in specialty retail
• Experience in grassroots marketing and business development
• Experience in event planning and execution

Other Requirements: 

• Flexibility and willingness to work a combination of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business with evening and weekend availability required
• Must work a minimum of 1 scheduled floor shift per week
• Commit to a minimum of scheduled medical outreach hours, as determined by specific location store manager
