Running Zone - Senior Product Line Manager
Position Description:
Select, purchase, and liquidate product that maximizes sales, sell throughs, and profitability while maintaining fresh product. Maintain strategic buying plan for footwear, apparel and accessories for each season based on previous year's sales and the next season’s product evolution. Work on the sales floor as a Fit Specialist to stay connected to the customer, the brand, and the team.
Reporting:
- Reports directly to General Manager
- Direct reports include Assistant Product Line Manager
Expectations:
- Ensure that the Running Zone mission and vision is fulfilled within every customer experience
- Establish category strategy and assortment plan
Responsibilities:
- Meet with vendor sales reps and attend trade shows to view new product lines
- Ensures that future and at once orders are accurately placed with vendors and in RICS on time
- Lead In-season management. Revise future orders and place at once orders to meet demands.
- Proficient in data analysis, point of sale system and dashboard
- Strong sense of sales to help lead and assist the team on the selling floor
- Achieve customer experience while maintaining GMROI established targets
- Manage inventory stock levels in accordance with inventory turn targets
- Maintain communication with the team regarding product updates and launches via team meetings
- Perform market assessment and establish customer relevant assortment
- Maximize monthly product flow while adhering to budget guidelines
- Monitor weekly sell-thru and proactively respond to sales and margin trends
- Vendor stock swaps and RAs
- Identifies and responds to quick sellers
- Coordinate with marketing team on product arrival with social communication, events and in-store clinics
- Develop vendor programs with the goal of creating profitable partnerships with store and vendor
- Assist in leading monthly team meeting

- Achieves Margin Targets
Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000
