Store Manager - Performance Running Outfitters (Full Time)
Performance Running Outfitters (PRO) in Delafield, WI has a full-time opening for a store manager. As a store manager, you would be responsible for the success of our retail staff with a focus on an exceptional experience.
Responsibilties:
Customer Service and Experience
- Help establish and achieve team standards with General Manager in areas of sales and customer service
- Override policies in the best interest of customer experience and lifetime value
- Motivate and inspire team members to always create the PRO Experience
- Work the sales floor to ensure every customer always receives the PRO Experience
- Assist sales associates with challenging and difficult situations and customers
Employee Development
- Manage and direct operating procedures, policies, sales, and activities of personnel at store level
- Lead by example to ensure higher team member retention and product knowledge
- Collaborate with general manager for team and/or individual development
- Assist in team member training, development, motivation, moral, and operational efficiency
- Communicating and recommending upcoming personnel changes to General Manager
- Conduct check ins and annual reviews with team members
- Assist in the recruiting and hiring process of Sales Associates
- Train new Sales Associates on selling and fit process
- Conduct continuing education and training for all team members on products and procedures
- Create daily huddle content to keep staff informed of sales goals, product arrivals and events
Store Maintenance and Appearance
- Maintain an organized and clean store
- Visually merchandise and restock the sales floor
- Ensure team members are completing the daily, weekly and monthly task list
Operational
- Maintain work schedules and attendance records for store personnel
- Proactively make staffing adjustments to achieve payroll goals
- Manage in-store inventory processes and oversee special orders by ensuring items have shipped and courtesy calls when necessary
- Create daily store transfers, check open purchase orders and negatives on hand
- Make sure store supply document is completed weekly
- Keep the store Google Drive organized and up to date
- Manage loss prevention using accurate inventory processes
- Convey and relate company decisions/policies to team
- Maintain monthly revisions for inventory
- Help execute in store events
Requirements
- Previous retail experience. Management experience a plus.
- Able to work retail hours of 40-50/week depending on the season (this includes evenings and weekends, please see our store hours for reference.)
- Have a passion for running and/or fitness and helping others.
- Have a positive and outgoing personality and ability to lead others.
- Self-motivated and able to problem solve.
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time on the sales floor.
- Able and comfortable climbing ladders.
- Able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel and carry products necessary for customer service, inventory stocking and store merchandising.
- Able to regularly perform store maintenance duties: sweep, vacuum, dust, empty trash, clean.
- Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds.
Compensation
- $50,000-$65,000 annual salary paid as a base + commission structure.
