The Better Bins have officially launched in stores and can be found at 16 storefronts, including Rochester Running Co. (NY), Brooklyn Running Company (NY), Run Hub Northwest (OR), The Exchange Running Collective (TN), Palmetto Running (SC), A Runner's Mind (CA), Get Fit (TX), West Stride (GA), Red Coyote Running Co (OK), Run In (SC), and Running Lab (MI). If you are a retailer interested in bringing the bins into your community, please visit Better Bins and submit a request to be a retail partner!

In addition to our Better Bins sponsors, GU and ASICS, we are excited to announce Brooks has joined as a sponsor for footwear, clothing, and socks. The support of our sponsors is integral to the success of our mission, and we are delighted to have them as a part of this initiative.

In celebration of Earth Day, the Low Impact Alliance and ASICS are hosting a second annual Nationwide Plogging Initiative during the month of April. Last year’s event proved to be a tremendous success engaging retailers across 20 different states and Canada, with a total of 76 plogging kits requested. We’re hoping to make an even bigger impact this year with close to 100 kits distributed across nearly 30 different states including Canada.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, plogging is any activity that combines exercise with picking up litter. It’s a simple way to engage with your community and to protect the land that you live and play on.

This is a great way to connect with your community, get creative with brand partnerships, have fun, exercise, and care for planet Earth.

In addition to growing our Nationwide Plogging Initiative, we’re collaborating with Janji to create a limited-edition piece of apparel that will go back into funding the LIA. With Janji’s mission to foster greater access to clean water across the globe, and their efforts towards sustainable products, we're excited to work with such a like-minded partner and to continue making an impact in this industry.

Using the LIA’s tagline “Small Strides for Big Change,” we’re platforming the importance of any and all efforts made towards sustainability. We hope this piece of apparel will speak to the everyday adventurer and champion the folks doing work to protect our environment.

We’re excited to share this piece of apparel with the running community and to celebrate this year’s Earth Day. Stay tuned to buy a custom shirt from our webshop.
