The RIA is pleased to share an update on the Product Data Collaborative (PDC), our cornerstone initiative aimed at simplifying product data management within our industry.

To date, we have successfully onboarded 91 retailers, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Retailers who’ve been testing it have consistently praised the user-friendly interface, highlighting its simplicity in navigating and creating product data collections, as well as its seamless integration with various POS templates.

Behind this user-friendly interface lies a complex process of securing and formatting brand product data, and the RIA team has made significant strides in this area. Our AI-based mapping process allows us to efficiently collect brand data – in any format provided to it – and transform the data into a standardized format accessible to our retailers. And to date, we have successfully completed the onboarding for two dozen brands.

Looking ahead, our next milestone for the PDC is to finalize the uploading of brand product data. We are also committed to ensuring that seasonal data crucial for our retailers, specifically Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 collections, is readily available. We anticipate completing these uploads by the end of June.

I encourage all members who have not yet explored the PDC to log on and start utilizing its capabilities. This initiative is not just about streamlining processes — it's about revolutionizing how retailers and brands connect. By centralizing and standardizing product data, we aim to make everyone's job easier and foster a higher level of collaboration and ease of doing business.

So, thanks everyone for your continued support and engagement. We ask that you continue familiarizing yourselves with the platform, and let us know how we can improve it to best suit your needs.
