PDC Update: Version 2.0 Brings Major Improvements

Published on | RIA | News & Updates

Over the past few months, the Running Industry Association team—in collaboration with our technology partners at Contentserv—has been hard at work developing a Version 2.0 of the Product Data Collaborative (PDC).

Our goal has been simple: to ensure that the PDC delivers on the expectations we’ve set with our members since its initial release 14 months ago. Based on member feedback, we’ve focused on making the platform more reliable, consistent, and user-friendly for both retailers and brands.

Here’s what’s new and improved in Version 2.0:

  • Spring '26 Product Data: We’ve secured and standardized Spring 2026 product data for our member brands, ensuring timely and complete data availability. Enhanced Quality Control: Our QC process has been upgraded to confirm that all required data fields are imported for every brand.
  • Smarter Search Filters: You can now choose whether to include or exclude carryover styles in your export results, depending on your store’s needs.
  • UPC-Linked Products: Every product is now tied to its UPC code, reducing duplication and minimizing data omissions.
  • Templatized Export Options: We’ve added export templates for all major POS platforms, plus a new “generic” export option for all-purpose data use.

These enhancements mark a major step forward in making the PDC the efficient, accurate, time-saving tool that we’ve been working toward.

We’re excited to roll out these improvements and will continue to fine-tune the platform based on member input.

Stay tuned for additional updates and brand onboarding timelines in the coming weeks.
