RIA on your mobile phone - Using RIA Connect
RIA Connect is not a replacement for the features we’re building on the RIA website. Instead, it leverages the website and brings new capabilities to your mobile device.
For example, with the new website infrastructure, the RIA has finally enabled a searchable member database online. This same functionality is baked into RIA Connect, though the mobile app provides more contact information and functionality, such as click-to-dial. Contacts in RIA Connect can also be sync’d directly to your phones contacts.
One simple but profound piece of functionality is that RIA Connect allows you to quickly and easily update your own contact information. Seems obvious, but by doing so you ensure that every other member has the most accurate and up to date information on you, be it your phone number, email address, job title, etc. We strongly encourage you to take a moment and use RIA Connect to update your contact information.
There is a lot we want to do with RIA Connect, and much of the underlying groundwork has been laid to make it a valuable tool for RIA members. When using it, you will almost certainly notice areas of the app that are not complete or to which you don’t have full access. Sit tight. We’re continuing to make improvements and will communicate these via the RIA blog and Pulse newsletter as they come online. We encourage you to subscribe for alerts to stay update to date on the RIA.
