Message from RIA Board President

As we embark on our 2021 fiscal year, we look forward to supporting our members through this period of opportunity as we welcome millions of new runners to our ranks and celebrate the innovation and tenacity of our channel.

Your board - consisting of fellow retailers, vendors, and associate members - is laser-focused on supporting this new era of run specialty retail.

This year you can expect some exciting offerings from your RIA as we focus on four core areas:

• Business support for our members including our incredible freight program, marketing programs, discounted business services, and staff and owner education like our Webinar Wednesday series.
• Creating opportunities to connect with others through peer-sharing and our Runchella in-person event in September. 
• Provide relevant information for your business including industry benchmarking, topical discussions, and the unveiling of our Brand/Associate Bulletin Board
• Laying the groundwork for increased advocacy including our partnership with the Running Industry Diversity Coalition and promotional campaigns to highlight the existence and importance of local running shops and performance gear to new runners.

Soon we will roll out exciting new member benefits to better facilitate peer sharing and connection. Stay tuned for that announcement in early summer.
